The 1947 East Africa Tour


In 1947 the Indian Hockey Federation (IHF) upon a request from the Asian Sports Association of East Africa sent a team to tour East Africa. For Walter de Sousa and Leo Pinto the tour had a special significane. It took them back to Africa the land of their birth Walter in Mbale, Uganda and Leo in Nairobi, Kenya. Maxi Vaz would later migate and settle down in Kenya
